Title : The Wonder and Awe of the Universe
Brief : This talk will take you on a mind-boggling journey through our Universe from the smallest building blocks to the almost incomprehensible immensity of space. You will never think about the Universe quite the same again.
Bio : Dr. David Prud’homme is a former president of the Edmonton Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, with an avid interest in astronomy and space exploration. He has been a volunteer instructor with Elder College for over a decade, offering two courses – “Introduction to the Night Skies” and “Space Race: Quest for the Moon.” He and his wife, Linda, have successfully seen four total solar eclipses – in Aruba; the Lybian Sahara Desert; Queensland, Australia; and earlier this year in Miramichi, New Brunswick. David loves sharing the wonder and awe of our Universe.
